The Falls Free Coalition Advocacy Workgroup, a broad-based coalition of nonprofit organizations led by the National Council on Aging, the National Safety Council, the Home Safety Council, AARP, the American Occupational Therapy Association, and the American Physical Therapy Association, has also collaborated with 29 other national organizations to send a joint letter to Congress urging support for $20.7 million in FY09 funding to to the Centers for Disease Control for older adult falls prevention initiatives.
