PEARLS Implementation Toolkit

January 2008

The Program to Encourage Active and Rewarding Lives for Seniors (PEARLS) is a community-based treatment program using methods of problem solving treatment, social and physical activation, and increased pleasant events to reduce depression in physically impaired and socially isolated older adults. PEARLS is an empowering, skill-building approach.

The PEARLS Implementation Toolkit was developed by the University of Washington Health Promotion Research Center, in collaboration with Aging and Disability Services, Northshore Senior Center/Senior Services (SS) and Interactive Outcomes.  The following set of tools are meant to assist community-based service providers in offering this program.
